Pomp and Circumstance

Our third weekend in London we made our way to Buckinham Palace to take in the changing of the guard for the first time.  We arrived a little bit late, so we didn't get very close.  We plan to get there much earlier to witness the entire thing next time.  As a lot of the books that I have been reading about London have said, it really isn't that big of a deal but it is definitely something you have to see when visiting here.

Buckingham Palace

The grass is not just green at Palace, it's green everywhere.  It might have something to do with all the rain they receive.

One of the many gates leading to the Palace.

Reed checking things out from Chris's shoulders.

Just a cute pic of Reed.  We can't have too many of those, right?!?!

Band?  Not sure what to call them.

Guys in funny hats.

The guy who just took his post, not sure how long he has to stand there.

I was most intrigued by this guy holding this massive gun on ready.

Protection atop the walls that surround the Palace.  Worried much?
