Fair!

Last Saturday we took Reed to the North Georgia State Fair.  We knew he would have a blast considering how much loved riding the rides at the putt-putt place in Florida.  We had to take advantage of our reasonably slow weekend and take him out to have some fun.  We were not disappointed!

His first ride of the day was the mini-roller coaster.  He was a little unsure about it and held on for dear life.
Have train, will ride!
Just taking a little spin on an airplane.
"Whoa, this is fun!"
"Look at me, look at me!"

No trip to the fair is complete without a ride on the carousel.  Who cares if Chris cut off our faces?  Look at Reed's sweet face.  You can certainly tell he was having fun!
As you can tell, he enjoyed his second ride on the roller coaster much more!
The motorcycles may have been his favorite ride.
A little blurry but too cute not to share!

Taking a break from his funnel cake to take a sip of lemonade.
Love this photo of the two of us, especially Chris Brown photobombing us in the background, lol!

Falling Reed!

Check out this silly kid on the beach!  He decided he was going to fall in slow motion and he did it over and over again.  So funny!

Look who made the HBS website.

Ah, can't see the picture anymore.  I am sure you are all wondering....what picture?!?!  I'll get that fixed today.

Click here to go to the page.  Chris is also in the video, along with the rest of his section.

More beach pics!

A crazy group of people decided to feed the seagulls, but Reed was happy to chase them away.

A perfect day at the beach.  I really didn't want to leave.
The obligatory family shot at the beach.  Holy tan line though, lol!

Three old bombers flew around the area where we ate dinner the last night.  So cool!
Yum, shrimp!

Beach Trip 2012 (Pic Overload)

Chris took the week of Labor Day off from work and Reed played hooky from school and we made our way to the beach for the first time since Reed was one year old.  It was so nice to completely cut ourselves off from our regular lives and just enjoy being together as a family.  I am already looking forward to our beach trip next year.
Sunset from our table at dinner on our first night.

Getting this kiddo to look at the camera is like pulling teeth.
I bought this board for him at Target before we left for the beach.  He had to carry it everywhere we went.
Kisses for Mommy while out at dinner one night.
Taking a spin on an airplane before playing putt-putt.
Reed loves to play putt-putt.  He hits the first shot then he picks up his ball and takes it to within 3 inches of the hole and taps it in.  So cute!
A trip to the putt-putt course is not complete without a ride on one of the many animals.
The ocean gets a little scarier when this sign is posted.

Reed saw this video while playing putt-putt and said "look, it's me".  Hilarious!
Playing a little golf with Daddy.

More pics to come tomorrow!

I look like a superhero!

We had a little hair gel on our hands one night, so we decided to try it on Reed's hair. Here is how he took it.

Happy Birthday Party!

We had a cowboy party for Reed at our house the Saturday before his actual birthday.  Our little buckaroo had such a good time playing with his friends.  The party included a jumpy, which we referred to as a "runaway train".  There was also a station for painting your very own "snake in your boot", although everyone forgot to take theirs home so we have tons of beautiful wooden snakes at our house.  We also equipped the kiddos with hats, stick ponies, bandannas and sheriff badges.  All the kiddos were so cute!  I think it was a birthday party to remember for our little guy.  Even though these parties require a lot of effort, I would do it every weekend for our cowboy!  We love you so much Reed!!  Happy Birthday Buddy!

Thatcher loved the cake!
Brick using the lasso rope to pull Reed down the slide.
Reed got a real lasso rope as a gift!  So fun!
