28 Weeks

As of today, I am 28 weeks pregnant. Yes, the due date just keeps creeping up on us! At 28 weeks, Baby J now weighs two and a quarter pounds and measures approximately 14.8 inches from head to heels. He can blink his eyes, which now sport lashes, and as his eyesight develops he may be able to see the light that filters in through my tummy. He’s also developing billions of neurons in his brain and adding more body fat in preparation for his life in the outside world.

Questioning what trimester I am in is now behind me, because I have officially entered the third trimester regardless of the source. How exciting! We’re in the home stretch now. Chris and I have so much left to do before Baby J arrives! Eek! I am really hoping that the next 12 weeks prove to be very productive for us!

Other than pain in the lower back that just won’t quit and a very small bladder, I have no new pregnancy complaints. I am so lucky that these are the only two things that I can complain about. Seriously, this has been such a smooth pregnancy to date and I hope that it continues to be smooth!
