What I'm Watching

I know some of you are at a loss as to what to watch this Fall, as I have yet to breakdown the shows we are currently watching, so here goes.......

Sunday

Sunday is currently an empty TV night, which I don't mind at all.  If you absolutely need to have something to fill the void left by Desperate Housewives, then I would probably recommend Revenge.  I love the lead actress that used to be on Brothers and Sisters and I recently got sucked into a one hour recap of the show and it wasn't half-bad.  But, I am trying to stay away from it none the less.

Monday

90210 - I have no idea why I picked this show back up, but I have.  And I am willing to admit it.

Gossip Girl - It's the last season of this beloved show.  Granted it isn't nearly as good as it was back in the beginning, but it is still a lot of fun to watch.  I am certainly going to miss seeing the fashion of Blair Waldorf next year.  The Carrie Diaries are set to replace Gossip Girl in January.  I will probably give this show a whirl.....to get a little bit of Carrie Bradshaw back in our lives!

Revolution - This show is somewhat filling the void that LOST left us with.  Here is the description of the show from IMDB.  Our entire way of life depends on electricity. So what would happen if it just stopped working? Well, one day, like a switch turned off, the world is suddenly thrust back into the dark ages. Planes fall from the sky, hospitals shut down, and communication is impossible. And without any modern technology, who can tell us why? Now, 15 years later, life is back to what it once was long before the industrial revolution: families living in quiet cul-de-sacs, and when the sun goes down lanterns and candles are lit. Life is slower and sweeter. Or is it? On the fringes of small farming communities, danger lurks. And a young woman's life is dramatically changed when a local militia arrives and kills her father, who mysteriously - and unbeknownst to her - had something to do with the blackout. This brutal encounter sets her and two unlikely companions off on a daring coming-of-age journey to find answers about the past in the hopes of reclaiming the future. Written by NBC Publicity
I have to admit that we love anything with a premise like this.  We love what-if situations, so this is perfect for us.  If this description didn't snag you, the main female character is very good with a bow and arrow.  Remind you of anything?!?!?

Tuesday

Don't Trust the B---- In Apartment 23 - James. Van. Der. Beek.  Enough said.

Hart of Dixie - I am still love, love, loving this show with Rachel Bilson that is set in Alabama.  I did find out recently that it is all filmed on a lot in LA, which makes me sad, but oh well, I'll keep watching.  A neighbor and friend of mine's brother will be on several episodes this season.  So exciting!

New Girl - We love Jess and all her quirkiness.  I know some of you might be a bit disappointed in the season thus far, but I have no doubt it will win you back over.

Go On - Another new show we picked up, mainly because it features one of our best Friends, Matthew Perry.  Here's the blurb from IMDB.  An irreverent yet charming sportscaster who, after a loss, finds solace from members of his mandatory group therapy sessions.  Whoa, doesn't that make you want to watch it, lol?!?!  I think this is really the point of the show.  They take things that are really heavy and dramatic and are completely sarcastic about it, which makes it funny.  Look it up on OnDemand to start from the beginning.  We really like Matthew Perry and hope that he has found a show that can make it.

Parenthood - This show is a real tearjerker this season, with Christina being diagnosed with breast cancer.  Hard to watch without crying, but I still love this show.

Wednesday

Modern Family - Oh, the hilarity!

Thursday

Grey's Anatomy - This is another show killing me with deaths this season and last.  Ugh, I am not happy about it, but I will be dedicated until the end with this oldie but goodie.

Glee - Glee has switched it up this season with part of the show being based in NYC and the other half based at McKinley High School.  I am actually liking the NYC storyline better than the regular storyline this year.

Up All Night - I am still watching, although I have to admit that it is mostly for background noise.  I do love Christina Applegate though!

Friday

Fringe - I still can't remember why we dropped this show.  We watched it last Friday night and I am hooked again.  Maybe it has just been too long since I got a Pacey fix, lol!  I have no doubt that Friday nights are where dramas go to die, so this one is most definitely on the way out.

  1. I love it that you still watch Grey's. That is the only show I still watch since college. I really wish it would just end so I can move on, but I feel like I have hung in there this long I have to see it to the end.

    1. That's exactly how I feel Chris! I get so tired of the on and on, but I have to see how it ends. I have felt that way about a lot of shows, lol!

  2. I cannot believe you are not watching Revenge...one of my favorites. I am actually dropping 90210. I have been dedicated since it's return and enjoyed the first episode, but enough is enough. So sad with Gossip Girl's exit...I will surely watch until the end. What about Scandal?? We're hooked on that for sure!!
