35 Weeks!

Ah, today I am 35 weeks pregnant!  I cannot believe little girl is going to be here so soon.  We are far from ready, but I am sure we would just wing it if she decided to arrive early.

At 35 weeks, baby girl is over 18 inches long and weighs about 5 1/4 pounds, about the size of a honeydew melon.  Let's just call her our little honeydew!  Because it is so snug in my belly, she doesn't tend to do somersaults anymore, it is more about the kicks and stretching these days.  Her kidneys are fully developed now, and her liver can process some waste products.  Most of her basic physical development is now complete and she'll spend the remaining few weeks putting on weight.

I continue to be tired.  Not sure if this is because of the pregnancy or the fact that I am chasing around and entertaining an almost 4 year old every day.  My heartburn had subsided but now it is back.  Boo!  If I never have heartburn again after this pregnancy, it will be too soon, lol!

Below are some pictures that we took of our little family and the bump last weekend.  I wanted to make sure and get some good shots of our family of three before we become a family of four!

Announcing Baby J II to Family

We waited a bit before announcing that Reed was going to be a big brother.  It got to the point where Reed was starting to talk about it more and I was certainly starting to show, so we knew we had to let our families know ASAP.  Unfortunately, we didn't get to do it in person, but we did the next best thing.  We texted them the pic below.

Baby J II's First Concert

Back when Reed was in the belly, my good friend Elizabeth and I went to see Britney Spears on her Circus tour.  I was super-pumped to finally be able to see her in concert (although she didn't sing a single word), but Chris was none too pleased that his son's first concert was Britney, ha!  Well, I think we have done the little lady a solid by taking her to see Alabama in concert.  It was an awesome concert!  I had seen them before when I was in middle school but was extremely excited to see them again as an adult.  They don't have a bad song, so Chris and I (and little one) were up dancing and singing along to every tune.  It was a great evening!!  I think little one will be proud of this one, and if not, at least we are!

Baby J II Ultrasound Photos

First Ultrasound at 9 weeks 1 day.
Sweet baby at 13 weeks 4 days, I believe.  They said they were 90% sure it was a girl at this appointment.
Hi Mom and Dad!
Baby Girl at 20 weeks 1 day (below).

The classic skeletor face.

Profile pic, although it is hard to make out.
Look at her eye!
And another.  She showed out during this ultrasound, opening and closing her mouth.
