The Masters.....FINALLY!

The husband finally got to make an appearance at The Masters last week.  Granted, it was a practice round, a round for which he didn't think he would be too excited about.  Much to his surprise, he was happy that he got to attend a round that was slim in regards to crowd size.  He actually had a chance to check out the course without fighting through the masses.  I am super jealous that he got to go without me, but I know we will get to go together some time in the future.  Until then, he'll just have to tell me about all the awesomeness that is Augusta National and The Masters tournament, egg salad sandwich included.  Enjoy the pics he snapped below.

This is a slim crowd at The Masters, ha!

A confession.

I was just thinking today about a movie that I wished was on TV so I could watch it, like, right now.  That movie is....now hold on to your seats here........Tremors.  Have you heard of it?  Maybe not but it's a favorite of mine.  I literally have to watch it anytime it's on TV.  Chris knows better than to let the guide linger for just a second if he sees that it's on, because he knows I will beg him to watch it for the 40 millionth time, lol!

I am thinking that my love for this movie stems from my love of Kevin Bacon in Footloose and I kind of love watching Reba talk about all her guns and such.  It is a hilarious movie, one where people get eaten by a giant worm, but I love it.  Weird, right?!?!  Check out the trailer below, makes you want to watch it right?!?!  LOL!

So, here's your chance to let go of the secret that you've been holding onto, surely I can't be the only one with random movie favorites.  Please let me in on your little secret of a ridiculous movie that you can't turn away from when it's on.  This could end up being a pretty hilarious list!  And maybe I can even add a few to my list.

And, just in case you're still not convinced, here's another movie that I would love to see right now!  Teen Witch!  It doesn't need any explaining, it's just pure 80's awesomeness!  The second video is a little off but it is still worth watching!  Does the lead actress look familiar?  She might look a little familiar because she is Robyn Lively, Blake Lively's sister.

Now, get to commenting and let me know what your random favorites are!

Need a new addiction/obsession? (Updated)

If so, I have a few that I would like to share with you.  Currently, I have a few new websites that I have to visit daily.  I love them, they make me happy, and I am also hoping that they might spark that idea that I needed pronto.  So, if you haven't found these guys yet, you need to check them out now.  They are worth it!

Twitter - This is totally old news, but I have been completely avoiding joining Twitter because I was on Facebook.  Why do I need Twitter?  Oh, my friend, how I love Twitter!!  While I do continue to enjoy reading status updates on Facebook, I have a greater love for Twitter.  My main love for it is that it is so quick and simple.  You have 140 characters to convey your message and that is it.  Awesome!  I have found that it is great way to keep up with interior designers as well, which have been an addiction of mine since we bought our home last year.  Join Twitter, follow cbr_in_london (among many others), you won't regret it.

Lay Baby Lay - This blog of sorts was started by the fabulously adorable Joni Lay, a sorority sister of mine from Georgia Tech.  This girl was always the creative one of the bunch in college and continued that with the start of her own wedding invitation and sign business, Chocolate Butterbean, which I also highly recommend.  After having a baby in the fall, Joni started Lay Baby Lay of nursery ideas as well as all other things adorable for babies!!  Enjoy it, whether you have a baby or not!  It's awesome!

Pinterest - This, my friends, is my favorite website right now!  It is a site where you can "pin" pictures of anything that you see online.  The main focus of those currently "pinning" seem to be home decor, personal style choices and things like that.  Ever wish you could find that picture of that room you loved or piece of art you needed in your home or quote that made your day, well now you can just click "pin it", which you download into your internet toolbar, and add it to one of your boards.  I seriously think this site would be beneficial for everyone.  I've even seen a "bucket list" on there!  If you join, don't forget to look me up, mb_hardeman@yahoo.com.

I completely forgot to include my second favorite website right now........

The Beauty Department - The lovely Lauren Conrad (from The Hills fame) started this website with her makeup artist and potentially her hair stylist, although I am not absolutely sure.  Anyway, it includes lots of tips and tricks for different hair styles and makeup styles.  There are also short videos on how to get the look.  I love it!!  I am really look forward to their upcoming feature on makeup brushes, who doesn't need a tutorial in this area with so many options out there.  Don't miss this one, it's great!!

Okay, I think that's all my addictions for now, although I am probably forgetting something.  These are my absolute favorite though, enjoy!

One of the few things I miss about Melbourne, FL....

Chips 'N Chocolate (chocolate covered potato chips)

Milk Chocolate and Dark Chocolate

We discovered this yummy concoction while living in Melbourne. We frequently visited the small candy shop just grab some of the chocolate covered potato chips. Fortunate for us, you can order them online. Yippee! This isn't the first time that we have paid the outrageous shipping price just to have some of our favorite candy ever!

I actually ordered them for Chris for Valentine's Day, but when they arrived on Saturday I couldn't stand to wait an entire week. Needless to say, we ate way too many chocolate covered potato chips this past weekend. It is probably a good thing that they aren't readily available in our area, lol!

If you want to want to order your own Chips 'N Chocolate, click here. I ordered both the milk chocolate and dark chocolate ones. While they are both excellent, the milk chocolate is probably the best.

So You Think You Can Dance

This is probably the best reality TV show, way better than American Idol! To commemorate the first episode with the Top 20 that aired tonight, I would like to share with you my favorite dance from all of the previous seasons. Below is a video of Allison and Ivan dancing to Annie Lenox's Why. It is a beautiful dance and it is one that Chris and I made sure to save on our DVR when we lived in Florida so that we could watch it whenever we wanted. They danced beautifully and you have to give it up for Ivan, himself a hip-hop dancer, for dancing so wonderfully with contemporary choreography. I am looking forward to this upcoming season....tonight showed some very promising couples that just might live up to Allison and Ivan.

My Favorite Song

This Year's Love by David Gray just might be my favorite song. There is just something about it that pulls me in and I can't get enough. Every now and then I am reminded of this song and for some reason I thought of it again the other day. I can never remember the name of the song so I had to use google to find it. Randomly, this evening, I was semi-watching Crazy/Beautiful and part of the movie is set to this song. I just really don't know how to describe the way I feel when I hear it...maybe one day I will find the words. Until then, enjoy.
